10/10 always As I previously stated, I do not like the first book of the series, especially in the context of the other books. BUT I absolutely loved the rest of the series and re-read it often. This book has many real life connections, especially to my own life and I love it. It is extremely well-written, the world building is amazing (as are all of her books, let's be real), and I love Rhys. Feyre survived Amarantha and under the mountain and becomes High Fae. But she is traumatized and has PTSD. And Tamlin has only gotten worse. There were red flags in the last books but he is traumatized by Amarantha as well, but he is not handling it well at all. They won't talk about what happened even though Feyre seems to want to. Tamlin and not letting her help She desperately wants to help the people of the Spring Court but he will not let her go.
