Okay, so I said this blog would be spoiler free but... I have to. Chain of Iron broke me.  These characters have my whole heart. I would die for them. (except Tatiana) I swear Cassie writes the best characters, makes you love them, and then breaks your heart into tiny pieces. I just want everyone to be happy and loved. **Matthew** my heart. he is so broken and I hate it. he had to hear all those rumors about him and his family. He just wanted to know the truth and his mom lost his little sister. This poor boy. His story is so heartbreaking. I just want him to be happy and loved.  **Thomas** poor Thomas :( accused of murder. but I love him and I hardcore ship him with Alastair. Charles is terrible and I will go down with this ship. He is such a pure human but so are all the Merry Thieves. He is so sweet and I would die for him.  **Tatiana** I hate hate hate her! I know her husband and son died but she is a terrible person. Where to begin? Well, she bought Grace just to use her. She blames her brothers and all shadowhunters for the death of her husband. Um, did you miss the giant worm that ate him? that used to be your father? no, well your brothers and their children are not to blame. So she makes a deal with some shadow figure (probably a demon) and uses Grace to control men, namely James. She is a horrible person and I hope she gets what she deserves.  **Lucie** I understand she loves Jesse and I get it. But necromancy? Just no. It will not end well. But I can't help it, I love her.  **Cordelia** Poor Cordelia. All she loves and wants is James but thinks he loves Grace. She and James are my favorite couple and I will riot if they don't end up together. Her father is murdered after she marries a man who loves someone else.  I love love love her with James. She is such a strong human and I will fight anyone who disagrees.  **James** I don't think Grace and James belong together. And he obviously loves Cordelia and that's why Grace can't control him like she can others and has to use the bracelet. But his love for Cordelia is too strong. I cried when he realized his love for Cordelia. I just- pure heartbreak. But Lucie is missing so he can't go after Cordelia. Why why why did Will have to stop him? I can't handle it. He doesn't deserve all of this pain.  Alastair Poor boy, knowing his father's secret and protecting his sister from the truth. Yes, he was awful to the Merry thieves at the academy but he feels terrible about that. When he tells Cordelia the truth and she realizes everything he did to protect her, it broke me. I just want to protect him from harm. The fact that he and Cordelia lost their father before reconciliation could happen hurts. The thomasxalastair scenes are so sweet and cute. If only they could be together... Thank goodness Chain of Thorns comes out soon and I will riot if it doesn't end well.
